Collaborative, smart, and kind, perhaps the trifecta of all attributes you hope for in a colleague and teammate. Dr. Lane flawlessly balances all three. For the past several years I’ve had the honor of both working and presenting research at national conferences with Dr. Lane. Her ability to lead, make recommendations, and manage competing priorities is beyond impressive. Dr. Lane has a knack for spotting and cultivating talent to leverage best practices and outcomes for students, teams, and professional learning communities. To say that she would be value added to any leading community would be an understatement. Dr. Lane would be an asset to any position that requires visionary and strategic leadership, intentional and data driven professional learning, or turn-around support. — Heidi O’Gilvie, Doctor of Philosophy, Ph.D. at the University of Maryland

Important aspects of your character that are not included in the “package list”:

Personal values define this individual;
The depth of your universal experience and understandings enhance all professional encounters. A well-woven moral fiber sustains your leadership. — Elizabeth Henderson, Co-coordinator of TEAM TENACITY Parkinson’s Project 2016-Present
As the Principal of George Washington Middle School in Alexandria City, VA, our school’s organizational structure was primarily designed to manage a growing student population, which now exceeds 1,600 students. Amid an environment of rapid growth, we were in need of support to ensure that high-level learning was meaningfully embedded within our professional learning communities. Dr. Lane was an amazing thought partner. We engaged in robust discussion around the organizational challenge and ultimately restructured out systems to leverage the knowledge of academic principals; allowing them to develop into dynamic academic leaders beyond grade level managers. Dr. Lane also proved to be an amazing connector. And I want to distinguish that this is not simply a skill but a disposition. Connecting academic principals and content coaches to meaningful and reciprocal networks through a strategic analysis of our needs balanced against the resources she could access allowed the learning culture of our entire school to blossom. Dr. Lane remains a gift and a high level knowledgeable resource. — Jesse Mazur, ED.d Student, Educational Leadership at University of Pennsylvania
